 After meeting and falling in love on a ski holiday in Fernie, Canada, in 2002, we moved to Wanaka for the following winter ski season...and never left. We fell in love with the mountains, the town and the people. Rich started up his own furniture making business,  which gave him the flexibility to pursue his mountain and ski guiding career while Aimee worked for the national park visitor centre. Two beautiful children later we moved from our little house in town to the beautiful rural community of Hawea Flat. Our new surroundings inspired us to celebrate the beauty and nature and craft bespoke tables from stunning macrocarpa timber. We absolutely love our tables and hope that you do too.

Terms & Conditions

Please read the below terms and conditions of hire

  • 25% deposit is required to secure your booking. Deposits are non-refundable. All our prices include GST. Pricing is subject to change at any time without notice. 

  • Booking must be paid for in full 2 weeks prior to your event.

  • Rates include up to 3 days hire and set up. This can be flexible at different times of the year, please don't hesitate if you require a longer hire period.

  • Any major damage or loss of hire items is to be paid for by the hirer. Replacement cost for the sheepskins are $500 per fleece. The tables are very strong. It will take a lot to damage them and minor bumps and scratches are all part of the tables charm.

  • A cleaning fee may apply if goods are returned soiled. This includes candle wax, food/drink. Please do not put tin cans on the tables, they will leave a rusty permanent mark. Please no dancing on the tables. Do not use naked flames, gas fires or appliances, heaters or anything hot around the hire items.

  • Clean the tables with water and a soft cloth, please don’t use soap or detergents or rough brushes. If a stain does not come out, please leave it for us to look at and clean, please don’t wash the sheepskins if they have a mark on them, leave them for us to clean in an appropriate way.

  • Tables are suitable for shaded and sheltered areas, and should not be left out side for extended periods of time in the hot sun. They are not to be left in bad weather conditions.

  • The Rustic Rabbit will do their best to deliver and collect all items as agreed to. We will not be liable for any delays or associated costs from any delays, caused by circumstances beyond our control. We will not be liable for any damage to any person or property while the hire items are in your possession. 

  • All hire items remain the property of The Rustic Rabbit

  • The Rustic Rabbit Special. A minimum of 5 sets will need to be hired. 

Delivery Cost

  • Delivery is free for the Wanaka area with all bookings over $500, delivery for bookings under $500 is $100 (this includes delivery, set up /pack down and collection.

  • Queenstown/ Alexandra deliveries, we charge $500 (this includes delivery and set up/pack down and collection) with a minimum hire of $500.

  • Please contact us if you require delivery in a different location.
